Smile Again

Drs. Todd Cooper, Tyson Teeples, Ryan Toponce, and Brandon Reddinger of Columbia Basin Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons announced Brian Willard, 33, of Richland as the recipient of their fourth annual Smile Again program. He was selected out of nearly 200 local applicants to receive a free $50,000 smile makeover. The Smile Again program offers individuals suffering from poor oral health and in need of critical dental treatment the opportunity to apply once a year to receive a free full-arch restoration treatment.

Brian is a single father of two boys and works as a delivery driver. He lives paycheck to paycheck and does everything he can to provide a safe and healthy life for his children. When asked how a smile makeover would change his life, Brian responded, “I want to be the best role model for my kids, and I’d love to be able to smile in photos with them without feeling ashamed of my teeth.”

“We were honored to give Brian this opportunity,” Dr. Teeples said. “He grew up with a tough upbringing but still maintains a positive attitude and only wants the best for his children and others. The Smile Again program allows us to not only change this man’s smile but help to change his life. We can’t wait to begin this journey with him.”

The doctors at Columbia Basin Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons have partnered with Dr. Sean Simper with Southridge Dental, Loren Ford with Thorn Ford Dental Laboratory, and Nobel Biocare, who will all provide assistance in the procedure. The prosthesis is supported by dental implants, and the oral surgeons will replace Brian’s missing and decayed teeth with a natural-looking set of teeth.
